For the summer season Theatek has acquired a new Chiayo Focus 500 ultra portable pa system. Battery powered this single speaker system can be easily carried about and comes complete with an internal CD player and a hand held radio mic. At just £15 plus vat per day this is the ideal system for tour guides and the like.
June saw Theatek at the Hippodrome again – this time with the mystical “Shaolin Warriors” – a Chinese troup displaying the armed and un-armed combat skills of the ancient warriors of China.
We also did the UWE’s annual prize giving for the Centre for the Performing Arts – an event for which Theatek is pleased to supply the pa system for as well as being one of the prize sponsors – naturally for the best student technician!
